Love (for Noynoy) is Blind

I ignored stories like this but when the editorial team of a reputable newspaper in the US starts talking about the Cojuangcos Hacienda Luisita, I had to read it. The piece will disappoint a lot of Noynoy-Aquino-for-President fans but if the truth can set him free, then he has the grandest and most profound decision to make for the sake of the Filipino people he profess to owe his family's love to. It's time to prove your love Sen. Noynoy. For the rest of those 37% surveyed who will vote for him - love is truly blind.

OTC Paper Supply, Shame, and the same

OTC Paper Supply went for the deal even if it was disadvantageous to the government. The Commission on Election (COMELEC) en banc, on the other hand, signed the deal without properly reviewing the contract. And who's money is being played here? The people. But the people are apathetic. What's up with the loser mentality? What's going on with our government?

Red Flag Politicians: Arroyo's kiss of death, now on Sen. Villar?

An Administration senatorial candidate just confirmed the Arroyos support for Sen. Villar's campaign but would the senator relent? Somebody knows the Filipino psyche and they're doing a fine job of confusing the electorate. What do I mean about this? Read this recently posted blog I read and judge for yourself. We're about to see more developments and this is another first in politics that, sadly, will be witnessed all over the world.

RP carriers banned from flying to EU countries

It's sad how Philippine Airlines (PR) and our Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) maintain the record it has on safety when the EU - that follows strict guidelines and procedures - is simply implementing the same rules with other airlines in the nation. Instead of lamenting, why not follow EU's procedures and start flying back again in those countries. Take note that the commission noted, "serious safety deficiencies" with the airlines and to think their fleet is full of European made Airbuses. Perhaps the maintenance of the plane is in question. Perhaps, it's the procedural on how we manage their planes. Whatever it is, they should just put up and get the work going. It's unfair for PR and the CAA to say that the Philippines flag carrier's planes are safe as if to say the others are not.

Japanese Nurse Prank Show

This post gives me the creeps but at the same time it never fails to humor me. Where do our Japanese brothers get these ideas?

Wife, like coffee for life

The coffee I was served with is perhaps one of the best hot beverages I ever got.

Hanging out with my wife is one of the few quiet moments that reminds me of this hot brew. The view from across my table is simply amazing. It's full of life.

With her MacBook in tow the view of my wife warms my tummy. Who can resist wrapping your fingers around that cup that seems to invite your love every sip? The creamer, the brown sugar, and the hot watered-down double-shot Espresso swirls in happy chorus getting my taste bud’s approval. It’s like my life with my wife. It’s a perfect blend.

I love my wife.

Phelps blames being "youth" for wrong actions

The CNN website shows this headline:

Phelps admits 'bad judgment' after marijuana-pipe photo

To that, bemedaled, Olympic hero Michael Phelps says, "I'm 23 years old, and despite the successes I have had in the pool, I acted in a youthful and inappropriate way, not in a manner that people have come to expect from me," Phelps said. "For this, I am sorry. I promise my fans and the public -- it will not happen again."

I think that last statement, "...I acted in a youthful and inappropriate way..." is wrong.

Mr. Phelps, please do not blame your youth for doing what you did. That generalized statement makes you want to say that being young - you're very irresponsible and undisciplined. Why don't you just say that you're sorry and that you were wrong. Perhaps even add that you didn't know better.
