Who is the bigger problem, Kris Aquino-Yap or James Yap?

Just this once, I want to dive into this latest Kris Aquino controversy. I wonder why Kris Aquino left their home so hurriedly and at the same time announced so early her troubled relationship with basketball sport star, James Yap.

Almost immediately, you can place the blame on the man for such problems in relationships but in their case, It's worth taking a second look. To open up this situation, you want to ask these questions to give everything a better perspective - since this case is already very public.

First, why would James say, "It's up to her," when asked if there were more reasons why Kris broke up with him? Is he saying this out of frustration? Is this out of resignation? The public knows how Kris Aquino operate. She's very candid to the point of being tactless at times. Second, why would James be involved with other women when he knows very well the consequences of such actions? Third, why is there no buzz of what exactly went wrong with the two knowing the public have all the access they need to know the personal lives of these two celebrities? You become suspicious already.

As much as I want to give Mrs. Aquino-Yap the upper hand here, unless there's more proof of James infidelity (again!), then surely this is fast becoming a one-sided contest seeing the latter losing by a mile.

Willie: Resignation, Wowowee, and playing god?

It is no secret that the program "Wowowee," for almost five and a half years, has been the core of my existence. The program gives me a sense of purpose because I make people happy and I give them hope that, despite their difficulties, they can make things happen for themselves.

Wowowee host, Willie Revillame, is seen to be exiting the popular noontime show of network giant, ABS-CBN. It will be remembered that the host put ABS-CBN in the spot by asking the management to choose between a radio entertainment host and him. The sadder part though is not his exit but his thought that he could play god to the people joining the show by giving "them hope." I wonder what person like this think by giving less privileged citizens of this nation money and making people rely on them instead of filling people with value like dignity, respect, and honor? Money will indeed blind you and it's sad that he already professed that his life revolving on a temporal matter instead of something that will give him more in life - say, The Bible. Move on, Mr. Revillame. There's more to life than material things and money. I hope you will be able to see joy beyond the money you enjoy.

Simple, Money-Earning Contraptions in Malls

Whoever put up this contraption in the malls of SM is really smart. I've seen this "science project" in the United States back in the 90's inside theme parks. The idea is to see how fast coins you use for this experiment rolls down the convex-shaped-type of funnel. The answer? Who cares? I just think people are so entertained by this that they don't even know they've been had. Well, not really. You put in the coins and you're not forced to do it.

These things are placed in high traffic areas like cinemas and fastfood areas and the fun doesn't seem to stop for the people. The ones who are really entertained are the kids who are so intrigued by the cause and effect of coins rolling down in a spiral path and into the tube. It's amazing how something like this could earn you big money and the best thing about it is - it works!

Whoever thought about putting this money-earning thing in malls is a genius and I wonder how much they earn from this. For those of us who continue to put money in it - it's literally saying, "It's money down the drain."
